The Unsubscribe option is a key feature in email communication, allowing recipients to opt out of future emails if they prefer. When crafting your emails, you can decide whether to include this option, depending on your needs.
In this article, we will explain how to find the Unsubscribe option in the Buzz's interface and use it effectively.
The option to include an Unsubscribe button at the end of your email is available when selecting the Send Email step in your campaign.
When this option is enabled, prospects who receive emails from your campaign will see the unsubscribe button at the bottom of the email they have received. By clicking it, they will automatically opt out of future emails from you.
While the button will not appear in the email body preview, it will be added to the email as soon as you toggle the option on and click Save Step.
When a prospect unsubscribes from your emails, they are automatically excluded from the Send Email steps in your campaigns, regardless of which email address you use for them.
The logic currently follows these steps:
An email is sent to the prospect as part of the campaign.
If the prospect clicks "Unsubscribe" after receiving the email, they are moved to "Pending" with the notification "Profile unsubscribed from emails," but only if the next step in the campaign is also Send Email.
If the next step is not Send Email, the campaign continues as normal for the prospect.
If there are two different prospects associated with the same email address (via different social links), and one of them unsubscribes, the other will remain subscribed.
To contact an unsubscribed prospect via email again, you will need to generate a new link for them—simply deleting and recreating the previous one will not work.
The Unsubscribe button is crucial for compliance with laws, building trust, improving the sender's reputation, and ensuring you are targeting an engaged audience.
