Connection Request Limits: Best Practices and What to Do If You Hit the Cap
Last updated: September 23, 2026
After your Social Account has been active for a few months, a safe range for connection requests is typically:
Up to 100 connection requests per week
Around 20 per day, though the daily number is flexible
📌 Important: The Social Platform enforces a weekly limit, not a strict daily one. You won’t be flagged just for sending more than 20 in one day, as long as your overall weekly activity stays within a natural range.
Tip: You can configure your connection request limits in your tool settings. Go to Settings → Account Limits → Connection requests to adjust the daily number of connection requests sent by your automation. When adjusting these settings, stay within the safe ranges mentioned above to avoid triggering platform restrictions.
Factors That Influence Your Limits
The exact number of connection requests you can send safely depends on several factors:
Social subscription type
Premium and Sales Navigator users generally have higher limits than those on free plans.
Social Selling Index (SSI)
Accounts with high SSI scores are seen as more trustworthy and may be allowed to send more invitations.
Acceptance rate
A high percentage of accepted requests signals healthy, human-like activity. If many users leave your requests pending or select "I don't know this person," it can trigger automatic security flags.
Account history and reputation
Accounts with long-term, consistent usage are less likely to be flagged.
Variety of activity
Mixing actions like profile views, content engagement, and messaging helps maintain a natural behavior pattern.
Automation behavior
Avoid unnatural patterns. Sudden spikes or overly repetitive actions can trigger restrictions.
Withdrawn connection requests
If you withdraw a connection request, you must wait 3 weeks before you can resend a request to that same person. Having many recently withdrawn requests can reduce your available pool of prospects.
Pending connection requests
A large number of pending invitations can contribute to restrictions, so regularly reviewing and removing older unaccepted requests can help maintain a healthy account ratio.
✅ Tip: Scale gradually, track your acceptance rates, and avoid consistently hitting the upper limits. For better results, personalize your invitation messages to boost acceptance.
What to Do If You Hit the Weekly Limit
If you receive a notification about reaching your connection request limit, don’t panic. This simply means that the Social Platform’s system has flagged your recent activity for review.
To reduce the risk of further restriction:
Withdraw older pending invitations before waiting 5 days. Go to Account Settings → Pending Connections → Pending invitations and remove requests that have not been accepted.
Pause sending connection requests for 5 days.
Disable any boosters while the limit is active.
Monitor your account's Reports section for metrics showing connection requests sent that day. If you see these metrics appearing, the limit has been lifted.
After 5 days, or once you see metrics in Reports, try sending a few manual connection requests.
If those are successful (no blocks or errors), you can gradually relaunch your automation tool and slightly increase the daily request count in your account settings.
Never restart automation before testing manual requests first.
If you experience repeated limits within a short timeframe (e.g., multiple restrictions over several days), consider temporarily disabling automation features like the Connection Request Booster. High-intensity automation can trigger more frequent platform restrictions, and reducing automation intensity may help prevent the account from being limited again after the restriction is lifted.
To prevent pending invitations from accumulating, enable Buzz's automatic pending invite withdrawal feature in Settings → Pending Connections. When the configured threshold is exceeded, it removes the oldest pending invitations that are more than two weeks old, helping maintain a healthier account status.

When Does the Weekly Limit Reset?
The Social Platform’s weekly connection limit usually resets on Mondays. For example, if you run out of your connection requests limit on Friday, your limit will reset the following Monday.
