What to Do If Your Social Account Gets Restricted

Updated today

Sometimes, the Social Platform may restrict your account if it detects activity that seems unusual. While this can be frustrating, it doesn’t necessarily mean your account is permanently lost. In most cases, there are clear steps you can take to get it back.

Here’s what we recommend:

Log In and Follow the Prompts

When your account is restricted, the Social Platform usually shows a set of instructions after login. Follow those steps carefully as they’re the quickest path to recovery.

Verify Your Identity

You may be asked to upload a government-issued ID like a driver’s license or passport. Make sure the image is clear, all corners are visible, and the text is easy to read.

Appeal the Restriction

If you believe the restriction was a mistake, you can file an appeal directly with the Social Platform. Be honest and specific in your explanation. If you have evidence that supports your case, include it.

Check Your Email

The Social Platform often sends an email with details about the restriction. This may include the reason for the action and steps to resolve it. Make sure to check your inbox (and spam folder).

Reach Out to Social Platform Support

If the above steps don’t work, your best bet is to contact the Social Platform’s support team. You can usually find a Help Center or ticket submission form on their official website.

Consider Creating a New Account

In some cases, it may take time for restrictions to be lifted. If you're stuck, you might need to create a new Social Platform account. Use your real name and photo, and build up activity slowly to avoid another flag.

We know how important your Social Account is. If you need more help navigating this process, feel free to reach out to our Customer Support team.
