How to Connect a SendGrid Mailbox

Updated over 2 weeks ago

SendGrid is a cloud-based email delivery platform that helps businesses send transactional and marketing emails reliably and at scale. It provides tools for email design, automation, and analytics, along with robust APIs for seamless integration.

You can seamlessly connect your SendGrid account to Buzz. This guide will walk you through the setup process step by step.

Connecting SendGrid to Buzz

  1. In Buzz, navigate to the Mailboxes tab.

  2. Click + Connect Mailbox to begin.

3. From the available mailbox integrations, choose SendGrid:

4. Enter your SendGrid email address and access token in the corresponding fields:

Where to Find Your SendGrid Access Token

The access token is a unique key that SendGrid generates and displays only once per API key. If you need to create a new one:

  1. In the Connect SendGrid window, click follow this link (ensure you're logged into SendGrid in the same browser).

  2. You’ll be directed to the API Keys page in your SendGrid account.

If you’ve already created API keys, you won’t be able to view them again.

To generate a new key, click Create API Key in the top-right corner.

3. Fill in the required details, configure the permissions, and click Create & View.

4. A window will display your new API key. Save this token immediately, as it won’t be accessible after the window is closed:

5. Copy the API key and return to Buzz.

6. Paste the key into the SendGrid access token field and click Save.

If the credentials are correct, the next window will prompt you to configure SMTP settings.

SMTP and IMAP Configuration

The first two fields should include the login details for the mailbox connected to SendGrid. For example, if your SendGrid account is linked to a Gmail mailbox, you should enter your Gmail login details.

For the SMTP/IMAP configurations, provide the credentials specific to your mailbox provider.

After entering the required information, click Save.

A green dot should appear next to your SendGrid mailbox, indicating that the integration has been successful:

Configure Daily Sending Range

For each connected mailbox, you can set a unique daily sending range. To configure it, navigate to Mailboxes, select the desired mailbox, and adjust the range to your preference. This range will apply only to the selected mailbox.
