Connecting your mailbox via SMTP ensures seamless email communication through Buzz. Additionally, certain email integrations in Buzz require an SMTP connection before you can set up a native mailbox integration.

SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) is a standard protocol for sending emails. By connecting your mailbox via SMTP, you gain secure, reliable email delivery directly from your email service.

SMTP and IMAP server details (e.g., <a href="http://smtp.example.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">smtp.example.com</a>, <a href="http://imap.example.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">imap.example.com</a>);

The correct SMTP/IMAP port number (Keep in mind that these settings are pre-configured in the Buzz SMTP setup, but it is always a good idea to double-check for accuracy).

Authentication method (e.g., SSL or TLS).

1. Log in to your Buzz account.
2. Go to the Mailboxes tab.
3. Select + Connect mailbox.

4. Select SMTP as your connection type.

Please be aware that for certain mailboxes, you will need to generate a unique app password and enter it in the email password field. To do this, click the arrow icon in the bottom-right corner and follow the instructions in the pop-up window:

SMTP Server: Type your SMTP server (e.g., <a href="http://smtp.example.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">smtp.example.com</a>).

Port Number: Enter the SMTP port (common ports: 587 for TLS or 465 for SSL).

Choose the encryption method (SSL/TLS).

Fill in the same fields for IMAP, then click Save.
