AskBuzz: Campaign Management & Outreach Drafts
Last updated: July 13, 2026
This guide teaches you how to draft, create, edit, and access campaigns natively inside AskBuzz. With AskBuzz, you can build single-channel or multi-channel sequences without ever having to touch a standard campaign-builder wizard.
🎨 Types of Campaigns You Can Create
When you ask AskBuzz to build a campaign, you can specify one of three structure patterns:
Simple Campaigns:
A clean, flat list of sequential touchpoints (e.g. Connection Request ➔ Send Message ➔ Email).
Smart Campaigns:
A multi-branch campaign that executes visual flow logic on a canvas (e.g., “If they accept my connection, wait 2 days and send message; if not, send an InMail”). To trigger this, simply ask AskBuzz to build a “Smart Campaign” or a “branching campaign”.
Multichannel Sequences:
Sequences that incorporate both Social Platform tasks (connect, message, InMail) and Email sending. Always let AskBuzz know whether your campaign is Social-only, Email-only, or Multichannel so the platform connects to the correct mailboxes or social profiles!
✍ Sequence Steps, Delays & Placeholders
When drafting message templates with AskBuzz, you can include placeholders that the campaign engine automatically formats for each recipient:
Approved Placeholders
{first_name} — The prospect’s given name.
{company_name} — The active name of their corporate organization.
{occupation} — Their active job title (e.g. Founder).
{location} — Their geographical location (e.g. Spain).
{years_in_company} — Calculated tenure at their active employer.
Tip: Do not use unsupported placeholders (like {industry} or {lastName}) to ensure Buzz accepts your templates on the first try.
Adding Delays Between Steps
You can instruct AskBuzz to space out messages. For example:
"Create a Smart Campaign named 'SaaS Founders' with Step 1 being a Social connection request. Wait 2 days, then send a message. Wait 4 days, then send a follow-up email." |
🚀 How to Create and Launch a Campaign
AskBuzz creates campaigns directly in your workspace.
Step 1: Draft the Sequence
Tell AskBuzz what you want:
"Draft a 3-step multichannel campaign targeting early-stage CEOs." |
AskBuzz will write out the sequence steps, templates, and delays in plain text so you can review and adjust.
Step 2: Confirm and Save to Dashboard
Once aligned, say:
"Looks perfect, please create this campaign as a draft." |
AskBuzz will programmatically compile and establish the campaign folder in your account, returning a success message.
Step 3: Access via Interactive Links
When AskBuzz successfully saves a campaign, it displays the campaign name as a secure, clickable blue link: https://dash.buzz.ai/campaigns/edit/<campaign_id>/overview?selectedCred=<credentials_id>
Clicking this link opens your campaign folder on your Buzz dashboard in a fresh tab, where you can view your sequence flow, check recipients, and click Activate when you are ready to start automated sending!
🛠 Editing and Deleting Campaigns
To maintain security and protect active pipelines, certain campaign rules apply:
Platform Renaming Restrictions: The campaign engine does not support renaming existing campaigns directly from the conversational interface. If you need to rename a campaign, you can do so in a single click on your dashboard, or ask AskBuzz to start a new campaign with the correct name and copy your templates over!
Moving Prospects: If you want to move prospects from one folder to another, simply ask:
"Move my prospects from the 'Old June List' campaign to 'Q3 Sourcing' campaign." AskBuzz will programmatically transfer the contacts between folders. |
Deleting Campaigns: To remove empty or stale drafts, simply say:
"Delete the draft campaign named 'CEOs Draft'." AskBuzz will show you a confirmation prompt first, then remove it from your sidebar and workspace instantly upon your approval. |
