Why do some campaigns find prospects faster than others?
Last updated: August 28, 2026
When running multiple active campaigns simultaneously on the same Social Account, you may notice that some campaigns pull in prospects faster than others. This can make it seem like certain campaigns are being prioritized or deprioritized unfairly. This article explains how the search task scheduler works and what factors influence prospect distribution across campaigns.
Why does this happen?
The distribution of search tasks across campaigns is not equal by design — it is based on specific factors related to each campaign's current needs and the account's shared daily search limits, such as Pages Searched.
How it works:
Each campaign keeps a set number of prospects ready to contact. The system only searches for new prospects when that number gets too low.
All campaigns on the same Social Account share one daily search limit, which is distributed throughout working hours rather than used all at once.
During each scheduling cycle, the system rotates which campaign is checked first, so no single campaign is permanently prioritized.
Why some campaigns receive more search activity than others:
A campaign that already has enough ready-to-contact prospects will have new searches intentionally paused until those prospects are used up.
Campaigns with fewer or slower outreach steps may accumulate prospects and therefore trigger new searches less frequently.
When the account is approaching its daily search limit cap, remaining capacity is allocated to whichever campaign is running low at that moment.
The search type matters: event-, group-, and post-based searches collect prospects in smaller batches per cycle compared to standard people searches.
There is no manual campaign-level search priority setting. You can't configure the system so that it splits prospects equally or to weight one campaign over another.
How to speed up prospect collection for a specific campaign:
Increase prospect consumption — Raise outreach limits or add/unblock steps so prospects move through the queue faster, prompting the system to search for new ones sooner.
Widen the search — Broaden the search criteria so there are more prospects available to pull in each cycle.
Use Instant Search — Temporarily enabling Instant Search can add all available prospects from a search in one go, helping to quickly fill a campaign's buffer.
Pause other campaigns — If the account's daily search limit is the restricting factor, pausing one or more other campaigns frees up that capacity for the campaign you want to prioritize.
