Campaign Settings: Add Prospects from Existing Campaigns & Recontact Prospects
Last updated: September 25, 2026
Managing how prospects move between campaigns and whether you re-engage profiles you've already contacted helps you maintain a thoughtful, organized outreach strategy.
Add Prospects from Existing Campaigns
When toggled on, this setting allows you to move prospects to a new campaign if the search link or the CSV file used in the campaign contains profiles that have already been added to a previous campaign. When uploading prospects via CSV, ensure you map the columns correctly during the upload process. For example, if the "Work Email" field is required, select the corresponding "Email" column from your CSV as the source.

❗NOTE:
This setting only works when creating a new campaign. If enabled, profiles will be moved to the newly created campaign from any existing campaigns using the same source (CSV file or Social search). The campaign must be created AFTER the existing campaign already contains prospects. If campaigns are created simultaneously, prospects will not be moved. Disabling this setting will not revert profiles to the earlier campaign. They can only be added back to the earlier campaign if the newer campaign is deleted or archived.
Manually moved profiles will no longer be automatically transferred under the setting.
Important: After prospects are moved from existing campaigns, they may be paused in the new campaign. If your campaign shows 0% progress or prospects aren't executing steps, go to the Prospects tab, filter by your campaign, select the prospects using the checkbox, then click Action > Resume campaign to activate them.
Campaign creation timing: The order in which campaigns are created matters. Campaign B can only pull prospects from Campaign A if Campaign B is created AFTER Campaign A already contains those prospects. If both campaigns are created simultaneously or if Campaign B is created before prospects are fully associated with Campaign A, the system will not pull prospects—even if the setting is enabled—because at the time of Campaign B's creation, the prospects were not yet linked to Campaign A.
Important: If the workspace-level setting "Deduplicate new profiles within workspace" is enabled, prospects that have been added to campaigns in other accounts within the same workspace will not be imported, even when "Add Prospects from Existing Campaigns" is enabled. The workspace-level deduplication setting takes precedence over the campaign-level setting. Changes to the workspace setting will not apply retroactively to prospects already added to campaigns. If you're experiencing issues with prospects not being added from CSV files or search links, check whether workspace deduplication is active and disable it if needed.
How this setting behaves in specific scenarios
Enabling the setting after campaign launch: This setting only works at the time of campaign creation. If a campaign was created with this setting disabled, enabling it afterward will NOT pull prospects retroactively. To move prospects from an existing campaign, you must create a new campaign with this setting enabled from the start.
Impact of search type: The type of search used in the campaign does not affect this process. The setting works consistently regardless of which search type you've configured.
Prospects from deleted campaigns: Prospects from deleted campaigns are eligible to be moved if all other conditions are met. Since deleted campaigns no longer retain their prospects, those profiles go into a free pool with no campaign assigned to them, making them available for your current campaign.
Important: If you create a new campaign using a search that includes prospects from an archived campaign, those prospects will not be added to the new campaign unless you enable Add Prospects from Existing Campaigns.
Recontact Prospects
This setting allows you to decide whether you want to engage profiles that you have already contacted via Social. It depends on whether you have an existing text conversation with a specific profile before starting the campaign.

If the setting is enabled at the time of the campaign launch, such profiles get added to the campaign and contacted without interruption.
NOTE: Even if the setting is enabled, some prospects may still remain paused if they have a history of completed steps in the previous campaign or were already paused before being added to the current campaign.
If the setting is disabled at the time of the launch, further interaction with previously engaged prospects is paused. To resume interaction, go to the Prospects tab, choose the relevant prospects, then click Action > Resume campaign.
💡 More About the Recontact Prospect Setting
If you move prospects from one campaign to another, the system checks for any ongoing conversations. If conversations exist, those prospects should be automatically paused to avoid sending duplicate messages.
Note: The system only looks for conversations in the main Social Inbox. If the conversations happened in Sales Navigator (SN), the system won’t detect them in this case. That means that if prospects were moved and their only conversations are in Sales Navigator, the system won’t pause them.
