Custom Fields in Buzz are a powerful feature that allows you to tailor your database to your specific business needs.

What are Custom Fields?

With custom fields, you can track and store unique information about your prospects that the standard fields do not cover, providing a more complete view of your prospects. This information can be anything from the prospect’s preferred contact time to their specific product interests or industry-specific data.

Benefits of Custom Fields

Custom Fields enable you to:

  • personalize your interactions with prospects by storing unique information about them.

  • segment your prospects for targeted marketing campaigns.

  • capture all the necessary data in one place, making it easier to qualify and prioritize leads.

How to Add Custom Fields

  • To add a custom field, navigate to the Prospects tab and choose a prospect you want to assign it to.

  • Click on + Add Custom Field. You will be prompted to create and define the field.

Name: Give your custom field a name that clearly describes the information it will hold.

Value: Select what data you want to add and store to the field (e.g., address, text, date).

  • Once you have defined the field, click Add to add it to the prospect's profile.

Utilizing Custom Fields for CSV Imports

Custom fields demonstrate their full potential when importing prospect data through CSV files, providing exceptional versatility in managing varied and specific information.

When your prospect list contains diverse and specific details that fall outside typical fields, custom fields offer the ideal solution.

During the CSV import process, you can download our template and align the columns from your file with the custom fields you have set up.

This process guarantees that every detail from your CSV file is accurately captured within the Buzz database, including any data placed in custom fields.

How to Import a CSV File

To import a CSV file, go to Campaigns > Create New Campaign > Choose Campaign Type > + Add Search.

Next, select CSV File from the right-hand sidebar and proceed by clicking Add CSV File.

Here are a few tips on how to use Custom Fields more effectively:

  • Ensure that you use consistent naming conventions and data formats to keep your database organized.

  • Only create custom fields for information that is useful and relevant to your business processes.

  • Make sure your team understands how to use and update custom fields effectively.

Custom fields are a versatile tool within Buzz that can significantly enhance your data management and customer relationships.

By utilizing custom fields, especially when importing CSV files, you can ensure that your CRM works for you, helping you to capture the unique details that drive your business forward.
