If you have ever wondered how to make the most of the Cc and Bcc features in Buzz, you are in the right place. In this article, we will break down what these options mean, how to enable or disable them, and how they can enhance your communication with clients for even greater efficiency.

How to Access and Set Up Your Cc & Bcc Preferences

You can find the Cc and Bcc Preferences section by selecting Mailboxes from the left-side menu.

Cc stands for "carbon copy" and Bcc stands for "blind carbon copy."

When you put an email address in the Cc or "carbon copy" field, it means that a copy of the email you are sending will also be sent to that address.

Bcc is used to include additional recipients without disclosing their email addresses to the other recipients.

You can add multiple email addresses to both the Cc and Bcc fields. Additionally, you have the option to disable either feature entirely by toggling the respective switches off.

Use Cases

Understanding when and how to use the Cc and Bcc functionalities can be quite helpful.

A common use is to automatically log emails sent from Buzz to your preferred CRM, such as HubSpot, Pipedrive, or any other system. By utilizing email forwarding, you can streamline this process and enhance your workflow.

As an example, let's walk through how to set this up with HubSpot.

Before sending an email from your Buzz campaign, add the Bcc address to the Bcc line in your Buzz Mailbox settings. As soon as you apply the changes, the email content will be automatically recorded on the contact's record in HubSpot.

  • In your HubSpot account, click the settings settings icon in the top navigation bar.

  • In the left sidebar menu, navigate to Objects > Activities.

  • Click the Email Logging tab.

  • To the right of the Bcc Address field, click Copy.

  • Paste the email address into the Bcc field in your Buzz settings and click Add email.

The sent email will be logged to the contact's record in HubSpot. If the email recipient is not associated with a contact record in HubSpot, a new record will be created.

Please note: when logging emails using the Bcc address, HubSpot will create a new contact record for anyone Cc-ed on your logged email. However, when a recipient is Bcc-ed in an email, the email will not create a new record, and if the recipient exists as a contact, the email will not be logged on their existing record.

For more information on the requirements for logging emails to HubSpot, please visit the Hubspot Help Center.

Similarly, if you need guidance on using Bcc with Pipedrive, you can find the relevant details on the Pipedrive Help Center.
