Connecting Your CRM Via Zapier

Using Zapier to Connect to Your CRM

Now that we have the basis of Zapier & Webhooks understood, let's look at how to use them.

In this case, let's focus on CRMs. 

Here is a step by step guide on connecting with just Zapier:

  1. Login to Zapier and click "+ Create Zap" 
  2. Choose Your Trigger: Search for "Buzz
  3. Click "Buzz" to be brought to this page
  4. Click "Event" to select what you would like to trigger the Zap. In this case, we will choose "Add Label"
  5. Click continue until you get to the "Test" step. Click "Test your trigger"
  6. Upon success, you will see a notification similar to this
  7. You may now click "close" and we must select an "Action." This will be selecting where we want this information to go. Click Action.
  8. Type in the app you are looking to connect to - In this case we will use HubSpot. Click HubSpot. 
  9. Now we must choose the "Event" we would like to occur once the label is added (or any other trigger). There are many options here - in this case we chose "create contact"
  10. Click continue 
  11. Sign into your account on the application you are looking to connect to, then click continue.
  12. You will now be in the "Action" step. You may follow the prompts provided by your CRM to designate what information you would like to transfer. If there are irrelevant options, you may leave them blank. Once finished, you may click "Continue"
  13. Click "Test" to test your Zap. 
  14. You should receive a notification with a test success
  15. You may then check your selected CRM to view the default transferred information input 
  16. When you see this information there, you may not click "Publish Zap" and the automation will begin.
