Dialer Numbers Billing: WL Admin Guide

Last updated: May 13, 2026

This guide explains how billing for Dialer Numbers works across the workspaces you manage, and what controls are available to you as a Whitelabel (WL) Admin.

What Are Dialer Numbers?

Dialer Numbers are phone numbers workspaces use to make and receive calls through the Buzz Dialer. Each number has two pricing components:

  • Installation Fee — a one-time charge collected at the time of purchase.

  • Monthly (or Yearly) Fee — a recurring fee charged on the number's billing date.

Both are charged upfront at purchase. From the second billing cycle onward, only the recurring fee applies.

Setting the Default Billing Method

To set up or change the default billing method for your WL, please contact your Customer Success Manager.

Your Permissions at a Glance

As a whitelabel admin, you can:

  • Grant members purchase rights

  • Purchase, renew, and delete Dialer Numbers

How Billing Works

Billing Date

Unlike some other features, each Dialer Number's billing date is tied to the date that number was purchased — not a shared workspace billing date. This means different numbers in the same workspace may have different billing dates if they were purchased at different times.

Billing Cycle

The billing cycle for Dialer Numbers matches the workspace's main subscription:

  • Monthly subscription: Dialer Numbers renew monthly.

  • Annual subscription: Dialer Numbers renew annually.

What is Charged at Purchase

When a number is purchased, the following are charged upfront:

  • Installation Fee (one-time, via Strip/credits one-time payment)

  • First period's recurring fee (via Stripe/credits recurring subscription)

From the next billing date onward, only the recurring fee is charged.

Note: All charges for Dialer Numbers are non-refundable.

Payment Method Behavior (USD)

When paying in USD, the full order is charged to a single payment method — the order cannot be split across multiple cards.

Payment methods are managed through the Stripe Customer Portal.

What Happens When Renewal Fails

If renewal fails across all payment methods:

  • All Workspace Admins and members with purchase rights receive an email notification with a link to the payment page.

  • Outgoing calls are disabled for all Dialer Numbers on the workspace.

  • Numbers will be deleted if they remain unpaid for 28 days.

Once payment goes through, all calling restrictions are lifted automatically.

Switching Billing Methods

Switching from Credits to Money

When this change is made, existing numbers are enrolled in Stripe subscriptions without an Installation Fee. Prices in the UI update to reflect USD amounts, and the next charge on the billing date is processed in USD via Stripe.

Switching from Money to Credits

When this change is made, prices in the UI update to credit amounts.

Deleting Numbers

As a WL Admin, you can delete Dialer Numbers from any workspace. No refund is issued for deleted numbers.

When a number is deleted, the next billing amount for remaining numbers is reduced accordingly. There is no prorated refund for the current cycle.

How Workspace Deletion Affects Dialer Billing

If a workspace is deleted, the system stops all renewal attempts, issues no refunds, and sends no further notifications. Dialer Numbers are removed from the workspace 7 calendar days after deletion.

Renewal Confirmation Emails

When Dialer Numbers renew successfully, all Workspace Admins and members with purchase rights receive a confirmation email containing:

  • The workspace name

  • The renewal price

  • The renewal date
