How to Add and Use the Unsubscribe Button in Buzz Emails
Last updated: April 10, 2026
The Unsubscribe option is a key feature in email communication, allowing recipients to opt out of future emails if they prefer. When crafting your emails, you can decide whether to include this option, depending on your needs.
In this article, we will explain how to find the Unsubscribe option in the Buzz's interface and use it effectively.
Where to find the Unsubscribe option
You can enable the Unsubscribe button when configuring the Send Email step in your campaign.
Toggle the option on in the Send Email step
Click Save Step to apply changes
The button will be automatically added to the bottom of your email
Note: The Unsubscribe button does not appear in the email preview, but it will be included in the final email sent to recipients.
How it works
When enabled, recipients will see an Unsubscribe button at the bottom of the email. By clicking it, they will automatically opt out of receiving future emails from you.
Unsubscribed prospects are excluded from all Send Email steps across campaigns
This applies regardless of which email address you use to contact them
❗ Important: Once a prospect unsubscribes, they will no longer receive any of your emails, even if they are added to future campaigns.
What Happens After a Prospect Unsubscribes
The unsubscribe process works as follows:
An email is sent to the prospect
If the prospect clicks Unsubscribe:
They are moved to Pending with the status “Profile unsubscribed from emails”
This happens only if the next campaign step is also Send Email
If the next step is not Send Email, the campaign continues as normal
Special cases
If two different prospects share the same email address (via different social links), unsubscribing one does not unsubscribe the other
The Unsubscribe button is crucial for compliance with laws, building trust, improving the sender's reputation, and ensuring you are targeting an engaged audience.
Do unsubscribe link clicks count as regular link clicks in email campaigns?
No, clicks on unsubscribe links are not counted as regular link clicks in your campaign metrics.
Unsubscribe tracking
Currently, there is no separate metric or report available to show the number of unsubscribes from your email campaigns. This capability may be added in the future as part of broader reporting improvements.
What this means for your metrics
When recipients click the unsubscribe link, those actions are excluded from standard engagement metrics. This helps ensure your campaign data remains accurate and reflects only genuine user engagement.
